Project name: Lower Parliament Street

The building consists of the retention of an 1890’s Victorian shop unit, converting this area into part resident communal space with levels 1, 2 and 3 being fitted out with studio accommodation.

The Warehouse building was demolished, along with the goods yard, to allow for a new build that consisted of 3, 4, 5, 7, and 9 storey structures that will provide a mix of communal and accommodation spaces on the ground floor, with a mix of studios and cluster flat residential units.

In total it is a 271 beds of accommodation made up of 121 self contained studios units and the balance formed from 6 bed cluster flats sharing a communal kitchen. Mixed communal space including a marketplace café bar, a “stage” social area, an array of study rooms and a bike and bin store. Ancillary spaces consist of a staff office, staff welfare, comms rooms, a substation, generator room, and mechanical and electrical services plant rooms.
